The United States has signed a new military cooperation agreement with Guyana at the same time U.S. warships, aircraft, and surveillance operations are increasing near Venezuela’s coast. With Venezuela escalating rhetoric over the Essequibo region and the U.S. expanding its military presence in the Caribbean, many are asking a serious question: is this about deterrence, or preparation for a possible conflict?

In this video, we break down the Guyana–U.S. military agreement, explain what it actually includes, and place it in the wider context of rising U.S.–Venezuela tensions. We examine recent U.S. military movements in the Caribbean, Venezuela’s reaction, and why Guyana has suddenly become so strategically important due to oil discoveries and its border dispute with Venezuela.

  1. If signing papers incluyes they are present in Guyana, Guyana is doomed too.😂😂😂😂That sign is and a dominisation step. A slow venimos through out the caribbean. Not protection.

  2. Given the complexity of the unfolding situation and the geopolitics at play here, let’s cut to the chase, Guyana, and Guyana “only”will make the decisions that will guarantee its security and survival, not Caricom, they do not have the wherewithal to come to Guyana’s defence. The United States has pledged its support, and if this requires a military presence with a modern airbase and all that comes with it, then so be it. It is what it is.

  3. Thanks for the update, there is alot of intelligent Guyanese and non is talking about this if they do it will be bias mix with ignorance. Someone said they're ashamed to be associating with America if so then go at the border ya pie pie and see if that can do anything

  4. You have INCORRECTLY displayed the map of Guyana. The NEW RIVER TRIANGLE IS SETTLED LAW since 1968. THAT TERRITORY BELONGS TO GUYANA.
And should ALWAYS be included on ANY MAP OF GUYANA!

  5. GUYS, REMOVE YOUR BLINDERS!!! THIS is about OIL and FLAGRANT ROBBERY of VENE`s NATURAL RESOURCES!!! THIS will become VIET NAM II, because, when your leader is a JACKASS, surrounded by JACKASSES, who know NO HISTORY!!! THIS HAPPENS!!! What I am wondering is , IF the FMLN will involve itself, WHEN the WAR starts!!!

  6. Now something make sense why trump pardon the Honduras president it mean that country will be under occupation a man the U.S. claimed traffic tons of drugs already serving a 47 years

  7. This is not good‼️
This is Guyana’s attempt to remove VZ from the oil dispute equation‼️ Might seem smart on the surface and in the short term, but I hope they REALLY know what they’re signing up for‼️

That conflict is certainly NOT going to play out per political projections! It’s going to be brutal‼️ And the moment the cost becomes too high for the US, they’ll bow out‼️ When that happens, things are going to get REALLY UGLY, especially when Brazil and Columbia join forces with VZ‼️

  8. I'm from Suriname but my opinion is that the Guyanese government is signing a deal with the devil. They strive for better deals with the oil companies while at the same time inviting the us army in, meaning that the CIA is also there. We have our own border dispute with Guyana but I do support them in the case of Venezuela. Thing is, the Guyanese government is playing a very dangerous game right now. One wrong move and THEY will be faced with a regime change.

  9. It's about oil, sure. But geography is a major feature. Absolute control of the Gulf of America/Mexico is fundamental to the geographical security of the United States – an outgrowth of the Monroe Doctrine. Southern security and oil resources stand to turn the entire Gulf into a fortress for maritime superiority.

  10. are you paid by Mudero? to bring your anti americian bull shit here on the internet, I am Guyanese and I resent this, Guyana is good friends with the usa and our biggest tradeing partner, and you think we going to be natural when Venezuela threatnes us?
