GUYANA OPENING UP LANDS FOR REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL INVESTMENTS

Sharing is caring!

Lands in Guyana are being made available for large-scale agricultural investments from stakeholders across the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), as part of the country’s efforts to guarantee that the Caribbean region has enough food for its people. This is according to President Dr. Irfaan Ali who provided the keynote address for the opening ceremony of the Caribbean Week of Agriculture on Monday.

  1. Caribbean islands don't have large amounts of land, which is why we should cut deals to provide agriculture products in exchange for mutual cooperation on many projects that could be beneficial for caricom in the long term

  2. Without UNITY, no amount of Oil will make Guyana Prosper. 'A house divided is a house in-conflict with itself'. Current Government is all-in on Colonist style of Governance, in direct contradiction to the CO-OPERATIVE in Guyana's Official Title. Power-structure is Undemocratic to where a 1 or 2 Seat Majority delivers Absolute Power. Proper DUTY of Ministers is to DEFEND their Ministry's best interests even against Ministers, but never the Party in public. Now they all FOLLOW even into Wrong..

  3. Guyana can be the breadbasket of the caribbean. Burnham had that vision but someway along the line he diverted and instead of investing he robbed and plundered the country for his own good and his supporters.

  4. Before, President Ali, make land available to the Caribbean. Why don’t he, first, make sure that every Guyanese has a piece of land to build a home for themselves and their children. Charity begins at home. And not abroad or in no foreign country.
