You have mention the question of Geo politics. Guyana bauxite industry was sabotaged mainly by the western world because of the socialist nature of our past governments. When Burnham nationalized the bauxite industry deliberate efforts were initiated to sabotage the industry. People must be told the truth. With some of the highest quality bauxite in the world the Chinese are shipping out our highest quality bauxite and not paying us properly. They are not even interested in producing calcined bauxite in Guyana. Anytime the Americans return or the Canadians Guyanese people will be treated much better than how we are being treated by the Chinese.

One of the most massive bauxite reserves in Guyana exists around the Amelias Ward area. It is called Block 37 and It is not even being presently exploited. The present Government of Guyana probably knows that but they are doing nothing to exploit these resources. There are also massive iron ore resources in Region #10 and I sometimes ask if people in the government knows that.
When I make such comments I am not guessing because I worked for years at the bauxite laboratory analyzing thousands of samples from many areas of bauxite sector.
Most of your comments are inaccurate relative to bauxite and presently Guyana is being tremendously exploited by the Chinese. It is my view that if the Canadians had returned to the bauxite sector, things would have been much better for workers in the bauxite sector. The Chinese operations in Guyana is based on exploitation of resources and I think that the Government of Guyana is unaware of the quality of bauxite leaving our country.
When the Americans come back to Guyana we the Guyanese people will be treated much better than how the exploitive Chinese treat us.

Yes we can produce more bauxite and eventually a processing plant. The possibility is there with electricity from Amelia Hydro Electric Power Plant when fully in operation, we should have enough power in Guyana to improve all industries, agriculture and improve the quality of life for all Guyanese in the future. I was born during the heyday of McKenzie City now called Linden.
