GDF RANKS INJURED IN 2020 PYROTECHNIC EXPLOSION SEEK URGENT AID FOR SURGERY

After collectively serving more than twenty years in the Guyana Defence Force, two of the soldiers that were severely burnt following an explosion of fireworks during preparations for Guyana’s 50 th republic anniversary in 2020 have told Nightly New how they feel abandoned by the GDF as they continue to struggle to cope with the trauma and effects of their injuries.   1. This is so cruel. These men guarded Guyana and her people. They should be looked after for the rest of their lives. That is done in the US and UK and other countries. Head of GDF do something for them. They are young men. Thank you.
