The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Medical Corps has successfully implemented the requirements of the National Standard – General requirements for the operation of a laboratory (GYS 170:2009).

Laboratory Certification increases clients’ confidence in the services offered by the certified facilities. It can also be used as a stepping stone towards achieving international accreditation.
