GUYANA COULD BE TOP FIVE OFFSHORE OIL PRODUCER BY 2035
Guyana has ramped up oil production in its prolific Stabroek Block, located about 120 miles offshore. Over the next decade, further developments in the block should commence – with the potential for even more production offshore, if more oil is found. With those oil resources, Schreiner Parker, the Head of Latin America and the Caribbean at energy research company Rystad Energy says that Guyana could be among the top global oil producers by 2035. He said this during a virtual webinar organised by the Guyana Business Journal and Magazine, and the Caribbean Policy Consortium.
