Ravi and Rosalie thought they would celebrate baby Rovin’s Ninth Day quietly in their Queens home… but Uncle Harry had a surprise they never saw coming. ❤️🇬🇾
On December 31, 1983, Rovin is nine days old, and Ravi and Rosalie prepare a traditional Guyanese family celebration while getting ready for Old Year’s Night.
The pepperpot bubbling, duck curry cooking, dhal puri on the table and the Old Year’s cook-up rice make their little Queens home feel more and more like Guyana.
But while Ravi and Rosalie are busy preparing, Uncle Harry is secretly making his way to JFK Airport.
Waiting there are four people Ravi and Rosalie never expected to see…
Mohan and Sita — Ravi’s parents.
Mr and Mrs Persaud — Rosalie’s parents.
For the first time since leaving Guyana, the young couple is reunited with both families — and for the first time, Rovin’s grandparents get to meet their new grandson.
There are tears, laughter, Guyanese food, family blessings, a special pair of gold bangles brought all the way from Guyana for Rovin, and an Old Year’s Night none of them will ever forget.
As midnight approaches and 1983 becomes 1984, one little Queens house is filled with everything Ravi and Rosalie have been missing:

You got me eyes wet wet wet me can’t stop cry boy. This episode of the story make me look back of me own marriage when me mother and me mother in law came some way to New York Queens and surprise we too. Me father and father in law passed years before though. Me uncle Jerry bring they here and not for old years night but Christmas Day from John Fitzgerald, Kennedy Airport or people here call it J.F.K. Me don’t know why. 😂😂😂💯 Me and me wife have been telling everyone we know about this YouTube channel here since we see it a month ago of me wife didn’t ask me to watch she phone she see it on YouTube first and she tell me how much it remind her of back home in village number two and all the people there she grew up with. Glad to see something good on YouTube here because if all the other nonsensical things me own son show me when me watching television with they. Glad this is a video show webpage I can sit down and listen to and enjoy anytime me like. Keep up the amazing job making this pictures I know me not the only one. Goodnight! 💯

Christmas is my favorite favorite holiday.
Christmas Eve night and Old Years are the most Romantic nights for me.
But not only that.
Watching this episode brings the truth to what my Bible says, " Every knee shall bow to Jesus." Because he is Lord and King.
You are Hindu but yet will always celebrate Christmas.
Muslims and all other religions as well.
Christmas is very semential and it's our Christ that we worship for being born to us as Savior of the whole world.
Everybody bows to Christ.

The memories are beautiful and traditional families. My only problem is the speaking dialogue is poor the reasons people from West Coast Demerara don't speak that way. Even my good friends from Guyana don't watch they worry they will pick up that dialogue style. Please the young generation speak much better today. Good luck 😊😊😊😊
