Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has mobilised more troops to the border with Guyana as Caracas lays claim to Guyana’s oil-rich Essequibo region. Satellite images show that Venezeula has mobilised its forces on the Anacoco island and on the Punta Barima naval station. This comes as Maduro claims the Essequibo entirely which has been Guyana’s territory for centuries.
