  1. Nigel Hughes the attorney @ 6:03 is on point about these politician and what they are about to take on. Inadequate public disclosure – without disclosure, the setting is ripe for corruption. All things oil should be 100% transparency. The corruption already began before 1 drop oil ever see the light of day.

  2. Oil money is unlikely to find its way to benefit the Guyanese people. It is more likely used to line the pockets of rich businessmen and politicians who care about number 1 and power alone. The oil company must be taxed and the tax money should go to where it is needed. Some ideas include: (i) hospitals; (ii) schools and universities: (iii) farming co-ops; (iv) cheap but high standard prefabricated housing; (v) jobs; (vi) basic social support; (vii) basic medical support. These are but a few of the opportunities available. The money should not be given to politicians, police or army.

  3. The problem is we guyanese have a government in office now which is the same PNC government in the 1960s. They run guyana into the ground the I.M.F AND. THE. I.D.B. seen guyana as not being credit worthy under them during the 60s an 80s because of the loans Guyana accumulated was too much to repay this current government took .the only different between this government and the past is its. Name . now is a collation government APNU PNC AFC. They're the same incompetent government without a vision for the future guyanese life will not change unless we have a change of government WHO can deliver who have a vision for all Guyanese it's guyana only chance to change the future for all Guyanese but not under this current administration sorry we don't have a chance in hell this government can't divide. 65÷2 = 32.5 ✔
    But the current government
Divide 65÷2 and got 34 😳 however they got that we don't understand. They Took it all the way to the CCJ but still they did not understood
They could not comprehend guyana Constitution it just goes to show you under this current Administration this dictatorship Guyanese don't have a chance unless we have a change of government. 🙏✌💜
Itsfunneh Nigel Hughes was that attorney who could not divide 65 by 2 and come up with 32.5
his mathematics when he divide 65 by 2 he got 34 that just shows you the incompetency how they're ready to rob the Guyanese by falsifying their mathematics 😥

  4. I sincerely hope that the government stay resolute with our natural resources, especially with our new found wealth. This wealth should be distributed evenly where overall development is concerned. The economic wellbeing of our nation should be put first. But I do see upliftment in the future and not be brought down by greedy politicians. What's the government's manifesto as it relates to the criminal justice system? In my opinion. some of our laws need to be revamped especially with the increased upsurge of armed robberies and murders, which can have serious economic repercussions for the country.

  5. The oil would not be a curse to Guyana, as long the goverment keep the Afro people happy. The Indo people are very submissive, so dont worry about them .Have you not notice how the Indo leaders are begging for more polling stations in densely PPP populated areas and no one listens; If that would have happened in Afro areas there would have already been a riot.

  6. Since Spain in de 1500's de Spaniards once fought de Dutch, French for Essequibo this nothing NEW, Now de England took over, England took de Spain to de World Court & there settle de matter, WHEN Guyana become Independence, Now Venezuela invaded Guyana Islands in in 1956, next to Trinidad,  I BLAMED  U.S.A, Government for this very dispute because U.S. was siding with Venezuela, Now they have a Dispute now U.S. siding with Guyana for their Oil. Basically is SELF INTEREST, those who is in de Government wants de OIL funds for themselves Period

  7. The writing is on the wall we need to be the 51st State of America……. the country will benifit from what's already in place , protection, experience and we don't need to give up much , there is for example the state of Alaska, Sadi Arabia …….a lot of know how is available to aid the country…..God speed and good luck to the Guyanese people and the Prime Minister…….you will be ok, but there are a lot of wrinkle to be ironed out, however the wind is in our sail…..

  8. Hay SANTOS ,we are not giving away the oil,if was 'ent for Exxon we would have no oil, and when the rich of the world visit Guyana they would throw a few coins to the poor starving picananny, on the dusty Ground, but not now as we will be rich.

  9. So excited but worried at the same time. Also i don't think majority of guyanese knows or understand how serious the finding of the oil is. Really hope Indians and blacks can hold one head and not go at each other after realising how wealthy the country will be. Overall i predict Great things are about to happen in guyana 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  10. Challenges ahead…40% of the population is pulling against the other 30% in the tug of war over The Land of Many Waters! Or how about this way: they are running towards each other heads down like two Ram sheep about to butt heads! It will be a curse, this oil! 😕
