Out Of Business – Why Small Guyana-Brazil Tour Operators Are Facing Collapse
I wonder what small operators like Antonio Tours will make of the new regulations. The only bus service I see primed to take advantage of this with their new shiny bus is the one that abandoned a group of indigenous people, including mothers and children, in the middle of the savannah. They did this as an act of political persecution on behalf of the PPP and now it seems the floor is being cleared of competitors. If Public Works is suddenly inspecting buses, why not all buses? Are only people who go to Brazil deserving of safety checks and a washroom? The selective application of these standards raises serious questions.
