  1. A year ago I was in my country and shall be there soon.I endorse what the good lady is saying. Its a pleasure to be there.Do not believe what lies the big mouths bad talkers are saying, they are sore losers like the anti developers and cursed
    Individuals in politics.

  2. One addition to where it says, " To showcase the Guyanese Culture.

This is not one overall Guyanese way. To just say it just, "Guyanese Culture."
    No.

It should be – To show case Guyana's Multi faceted and Mutli Ethnic Culture.

Hospitality more came from my Culture in Guyana.

Let us as One People make no mistake about this.

  3. When is the new commercial centre opening, it's been a few years since minister Edgehill stated it would? Travellers are tired of the tiny little space upstairs with just one fast food outlet and a few seats, if you're lucky to get one!

  4. Well I am really excited too about the future of CJIA. I am actually stunned with the technology development and general transformation of the airport. I was back there in 2013 and now I can hardly believable my eyes. As a Guyanese I am very proud of the strides made to bring us up to international standards. I remembered back in the 80s & 90s how inferior our airport looked in comparison to the Grantley Adams airport in Barbados but now we are on par and moving ahead. Thanks for sharing this piece of development which is transforming the landscape at CJIA and its surroundings.Guyana is on the move. Very happy to see this. Take care and God bless to one and all.

  5. Good information on the new terminal two ( 2) at the international airport in Guyana. That is so pleasant to hear that within five minutes the entire process can/ could be completed. It's especially nice to know that they are implementing these sorts of technologies which is going to be beneficial to Guyanaese and visitors alike. Very nice post. Enjoy your stay in New York. Have a wonderful night ❤👍🏽💪🙏💯🇬🇾🇬🇾

  6. Hi Shabna. Thanks for an indept tour of CJI . What a transformation compared to the airport 47 years when I departed. I've been back many times over the years and will be visiting again in 2 months' time. Keep posting.

  7. You see the difference with the richness of oil ,Guyana is using their oil money to develop the country roads ,highways, bridges, airports, hospitals, schools into a very modern country, unlike Trinidad where i am from ,the windfall from oil in the late 70s till into year every 2×2 contractor is a super billionaire now because of corruption in the past government mishandling of the oil money funds ,the 1%government is the ones who used to give directives to their friends in parliament call minister to give more to the 1 % and less to the people, its shameless to see the roads in Trinidad and we are the owners of the biggest pitch lake in the world ,the bridges, the highways, the hospitals, the airport well that is a next story .Well done Guyana, you are using your wealth the right ways .

  8. Shabana you need to visit Hogg Island. History: It features Guyana's only surviving historic brick windmill, built in 1768 on the old Lyksburg plantation, which is now a protected national monument.
