GUYANA’S ECONOMY DEFIES SHOCKS TO ACHIEVE CONTINUED GROWTH AT 36 4%
In spite of the burden of external shocks and domestic challenges, Guyana continues to maintain its position as a global leader in economic growth with a massive expansion of the economy in the first half of the year. According to the Ministry of Finance’s recently released Mid-Year Report 2022, Guyana recorded an overall 36.4 percent economic growth in the first half of the year, with the non-oil economy growing by 8.3 percent.
