GUYANA’S EXPORTS TO CHINA HIT RECORD US$501M

Guyana’s trade with China reached approximately US$1.8 billion in 2025, with Guyanese exports to the Asian market climbing to a record US$501 million, Prime Minister Mark Phillips said on Thursday. Phillips was speaking at a reception in Georgetown marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, where he highlighted growing commercial ties between the two countries against the backdrop of Guyana’s rapidly expanding economy.
