MAJOR GAINS SEEN IN NON-OIL SECTOR AS GUYANA’S ECONOMY GREW BY 59.5% IN FIRST HALF OF 2023
President Dr. Irfaan Ali announced that Guyana’s real Gross Domestic Product, which essentially reflects the state of the economy, grew by about 59.5% in the first half of this year. Though much of that expansion has been linked to the nascent oil and gas sector, many other sectors have seen sizable expansions too.
