If a proposed toll bridge is widely belived to be built by corrupt politicians, citizens should be able to move their oil share into something else like a toll highway that is belived to be less corrupt. They then own a percentage of that asset and can use it for their retirement.

The last time I heard someone mention Guyana was a Facebook I had from there over half a decade ago, great for the people there.
Same thing in Uganda British brought in immigrants from India who ended up owning everything from the government down to the public private sectors and businesses. Because the indians were treated by the British as workers/immigrants not as slaves! Very important distinction!The Indians viewed the Ugandans as sub-standard or sub-human they didn't want to even get a Ugandan passport viewing it as a lesser passport for a lesser people. Apollo Milton Obote tried to rectify this. He said okay I see what the problem is and I have a solution "
1)Uganda is for Ugandans every citizen of Uganda must have a Ugandan passport.
2) The original Ugandans must be given fair and equal opportunities equal to that of Indians. Not Indians owning everything and sitting ontop.
