  1. Just wondering if kids still need to do a common entrance type exam to get into Bishop's and Queens College? Strange to think of boys walking the corridors of Bishop's now!!

  4. Hi Beautiful Family….Very interesting….I love the neighborhood view from the second floor of the school…the nicely mowed play ground in front ….very nice…now there is one called North Ruimveldt Secondary School…I think that one had a fire recently but Minister Priya was able to quickly get it back into pre fire condition…anyway…I attended GOC Guiana Oriental College….on Thomas Street …it was closed during the nationalisation of schools….but it was a lovely school…the headmaster was Mr. Shurti Kant..the most handsome man in the world….and he walked out of India and came to Guyana and headed that school…his sister Miss Kant was the history teacher…she wore the most beautiful saris one has ever seen…and oh wow was she a fabulous history teacher…her teaching style could not be duplicated….she truly loved history and as such she transported the students into that period of time that she was teaching about….there was a canteen there too…best dhal puri this side of India or maybe the world…..but it was nice there….we had a lot of bomb scares at school as these were tumultuous times in BG/GY….the Plaza Cinema was right behind the school…but on Camp Street….thank you again beautiful family for the video…have a nice weekend..
