New School Library in Guyana is Students New Favorite Place to Hang
Peace Corps Guyana Volunteer Avery worked with fellow teachers to turn an unused room into a functioning school library. π
They added books, painted a mural of a child reading with a universe unfolding from the pages, and reopened the space to students. Within a month, the library became one of the students’ favorite spots on campus, with many lining up at lunch, waiting for their turn to read.
