The best place for a date❤ Except when they close the gate and you had to push to get in and get squeeze in the crowd. Then when you get to the counter is another madness so you end up with a pit ticket😢 stink nasty pit. 😂 but it was memories still😅 Those were the days. Leaving school early to run to the cinema 😮 I love when they had movie Saturday mornings sometimes and you could get in if you collect coolaid empty packets or bottles. I like the intermission too especially when they show two good doubles.❤❤❤

I remember going to the Astor cinema with my first girlfriend and buying a ticket to sit in the balcony section upstairs.The view of the screen was spectacular and the atmosphere regal.That was on a Sunday afternoon.And everyone felt so proud and special to have their sweetheart holding their hands .I was just sixteen and had a big afro hairstyle.And my girlfriend had an afro also.It was in the early seventies when the black movies were the things. Vendetta McGee and CLvin Lockheart were the some of the stars along with Jim Brown and Rosco.
I miss going to the cinemas.Not even the Internet can replace going on Saturday afternoon or any other cinema day.
