GDF EXPANDING AIR, SEA AND DRONE CAPABILITIES IN 2026 – GDF CHIEF
The Guyana Defence Force is set to significantly strengthen its air and maritime capabilities this year, as part of a broader push to build a more modern and resilient military force. The Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier Omar Khan made the announcements on Thursday while addressing the opening of the Guyana Defence Force’s Annual Officers’ Conference. He said the vision is to “build, deploy and operate a modern, smart and resilient” force capable of supporting national security and development.
