I think this guy might be right about that.
Another pattern that you'll commonly find is as follows:
(1) An American/British/etc " journalist " goes to an " underdeveloped " country;
(2) The " journalist " decries the harms that might get inflicted upon on the environment;
(3) The " journalist " decries the neglect that is inflicted upon the " indigenous " people;
(4) The " journalist " defames the government's officials;
(5) The " journalist " neglects the " indigenous " people;
(6) The " journalist " reaps the rewards of his/her country's rampant foreign exploits;
(7) The " journalist " makes no mention of his/her country's own rampant corruptions.
