Why the government don’t get the young men and women of Guyana and train them to do certain jobs so you don’t have to bring foreigners into the country to work . They have a lot of idlers in Guyana, hanging like bats on the streets doing nothing . Let them gho work and clean . They by the market square just talking plenty and nothing to do . You all talk about Burnham he had. National Service Program that helped to motivate people. Now we have a corrupt society running by selfish individuals who don’t care anything but themselves , family and friends. Bringing people from Cuba and other neighboring countries. There’s a motto behind this.

As only my second time here as my family left in the 60’s for refuge ( chinese family) from the political climate -an hour ago I was saddened to meet a couple from Cuba here walking around asking people if their renting ( I am staying in an airbnb now)

Start with the lower salary I migrated to new York in 1986 I was a school teacher in guyana I worked factories for $3.35 per hour that was minimum wage I went back to college and I made it don't give up learn English and move up the ladder

I really hope the government is paying close attention to all the new Venezuelan and Cuban citizens and residents. It would be best to create more social systems for integration. Particularly around employment and housing. We need more immigration funding and government assistance.

Why flocking to Guyana that is an English Speaking Country that is within the "Western Democratic Community'?
What you need to know is that Guyana was built on more than 400 yrs. of Slave Labour (Africans and Indians) and been one of the poorest country in the Hemisphere up to 2020. Now the Latinos want to come in to reap the benefits and telling them what they should do to accommodate them.
Coming now to Guyana because of the promise of oil wealth at this transitional period will cause resentment among the locals because of the added burden placed on their scarce resources and services.
The Cuban Medical Brigade in Guyana until terminated recently was a Cuban Gov't "Business" that received payments in lieu.
Guyanese are not indebted or obliged to provide anyone with what they are being denied in their country of birth.
As you may need to know that Spanish Speaking Countries do not allow Guyanese a visitor's visa.
Guyana Prisons are experiencing many prisoners from Cuba and Venezuela for crimes such as homicides, terrorism, kidnapping, robbery, human trafficking, forced prostitution, etc.
Why not go to the well established and rich Latin countries instead, such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, DR and others in the Hemisphere.
I am quite sure you wouldn't have anything to complain about.

what im about to say isnt anti-immigration but the natural order of life: unfortunately if you dont provide legal ways to empower a large commnity of people to provide a living for themselves, many will turn to crime. they have to find ways to feed & house themselves. Guyana can't ignore this until its too late
