Peace Corps Volunteer Helps Grade School Students in Guyana

Sharing is caring!

Tim Morin from Atlanta, Georgia is a Peace Corps Volunteer in a small community in Guyana where he helps teach reading and math to first and second graders. Because the village does not have running water or electricity, one of Tims projects involves teaching children how to use computers powered by solar panels.

  1. Tim, my name is Tina and I will be going to Guyana to serve at the end of January. Are you still serving now? After reading the welcome book I'm more than excited about my placement! Based on your video seems that you're enjoying yourself as well. Can't wait for my experience to begin.

  2. Thanks for making the video. My daughter was stationed in Wakapoa, in the same region. We also took the speedboat from Charity! Guyana is a challenging but rewarding environment for assignment.
