JUMBO’S SAND PIPES RULES GUYANA CUP 18
Sand Pipes of the Jumbo Jet Stable is the new Guyana Cup champion, winning the star-studded main event at the 18th staging of the mega horse racing event Rising Sun Turf Club on Sunday afternoon.
The J’s Racing Stable duo I’m Sam and Santorini took second and third, while Vitruvian of the Slingerz Racing Stable finished fourth.
This main event carried a record purse of G$22.5 million, with the winner taking home G$12 million.
The 14-race card had a whopping G$66 million at stake.
At the post-race presentation, Nasrudeen Mohamed Jr. of Jumbo Jet Stable was elated with the win, labelling the event a major success. The Guyana Cup is promoted by Jumbo Jet Events.
